BOBBY ST. PIERRE

Bobby St. Pierre is a seasoned baseball professional with decades of experience as a player, coach, and professional scout. He currently serves as Senior Consultant and Senior Scouting Supervisor for the East Coast with the Houston Astros, and has dedicated his career to developing athletes and helping them reach their collegiate and professional potential.

 

Career Highlights & Accolades:

  • Senior Consultant and Senior Scouting Supervisor, Houston Astros (East Coast)

  • Pitching Instructor for the Kansas City Royals and Pittsburgh Pirates organizations

  • Pitching Coach, Manager, and General Manager in the Clark Griffith and Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Leagues

  • Twice drafted (Texas Rangers and New York Yankees)

  • Recognized by Baseball America as "Closest to Majors" in Yankees’ 1995 draft class

  • Played professionally with the New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians organizations

  • 2x All-CAA selection at the University of Richmond

  • Inducted into the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame (2014)

  • Inducted into the DeMatha Catholic High School Hall of Fame (2022)

MATT WERTS

Matt Werts is the co-founder of Elite Baseball and brings over 20 years of experience as a coach, instructor, and college placement specialist. He is dedicated to developing athletes, particularly pitchers, and guiding them to thrive both on the field and in collegiate programs.

 

Career Highlights & Accomplishments:

  • Over 20 years of experience in coaching and player development

  • Specializes in pitching instruction

  • Manages the Elite Baseball Showcase Teams

  • Coordinator of the Elite Baseball College Placement Services Program

  • Successfully placed 315 players in college baseball programs since 2007

  • Collegiate baseball player at Millersville University

 

Matt’s extensive coaching and placement experience gives him the expertise to guide athletes through the recruiting process and position them for long-term success.
